National Water Supply and Sanitation Council Director Eng. Kelvin Chitumbo has called on Local authorities in Western Province to support Western Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited in the improvement of water supply and sanitation services in the Province.
Eng. Chitumbo called on the locaL authorities during the Western Water Supply and Sanitation Annual General Meeting held today at Country Lodge.
Eng. Chitumbo said as shareholders they should be able to support the Utility through Co-financing interventions using CDF.
He thanked Town Councils such as Sesheke, who had already provided funds for the installation of an elevated tank in Katima-Mulilo.
The meeting was officially opened by Western Province Permanent Secretary Mr Simomo Akepelwa.
