Western Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (WWSSC) is a Commercial Utility established on 1 April 2000 through Statutory Instrument No. 92 of 2000 to provide water supply and sanitation services throughout Western Province of Zambia. The Company was formed as part of the Government of the Republic of Zambia's water sector reforms aimed at improving service delivery through commercially oriented utility operations.
The Company operates under the provisions of the Water Supply and Sanitation Act. It is mandated to provide safe, reliable, affordable and sustainable water supply and sanitation services to urban, peri-urban and designated rural communities within its service jurisdiction.
