WWSSCL Strengthens Capacity on Gender Mainstreaming Under the PforR Programme
Western Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (WWSSCL), through the Programme for Results (PforR), successfully conducted the Second Inception Meeting on Gender Mainstreaming in Limulunga District.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders and focused on building a common understanding of key gender concepts and approaches necessary for effective programme implementation. Participants received training and engaged in discussions on Gender Mainstreaming, Power Dynamics, and Theories of Change,
among other gender-related topics.
The sessions provided an opportunity for stakeholders to examine how gender inequalities and power relations influence access to opportunities and services, and how deliberate interventions can contribute to more inclusive and equitable outcomes. Participants also explored practical approaches to integrating gender
considerations into planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
The engagement was further enriched through collaboration with the Provincial Gender Division Office, which provided technical guidance and support throughout the discussions. WWSSCL remains committed to promoting gender equality and ensuring that its programmes and operations are responsive to the needs of all members of society.
